Dear Poetry Fans,

Poetry & Poets in Rags

It is still Christmastime if you count the twelve days. I wish you a merry 27th (!), whatever that means for you spiritually, and a happy new year, assuming it begins for you this Sunday. While particular faiths, especially the Christian ones, needed to be extracted from our seasons greetings to each other for political correctness, several of the news articles on poetry this past week, contain an extra injection of specific faith. Many great poems come from holy days, and many great poets live and have lived in relation to their faiths of heritage. We have Christmas poems in the last two articles in the News at Eleven section, and some in our Great Regulars section as well. But we begin with a December 26th story, one about an angel reading poetry.

Thanks for everything.

Yours,
Rus
