Dear Poetry Fans, Poetry & Poets in Rags "Budding poet? Looking for objective feedback? You've come to the right place." Many of you know exactly where I got that quote from. It's from a big gun in the poetry world, The Guardian's Books section, and specifically their "Poetry workshop". And you know how down in New Orleans, when the big guns came in, and it didn't matter from which side of which border, things started looking better right away? Well, big guns have arrived at IBPC. We asked both Sarah Crown, Books Editor of The Guardian, and Frank Wilson, Book Review Editor of The Philadephia Inquirer, if they would consider filling in for Dave Brinks of New Orleans, who had two months left to his stint as our esteemed judge. They said "yes". We need to work out the details about who and when we can expect results. That's all I know for now, except that as Gina says, they have saved the day. In the mean time, let's support them. Here are links for Sarah Crown and The Guardian's Books section, so you may see what she is up to: Books Poetry workshop Original poetry: http://books.guardian.co.uk/departments/poetry/front/0,6000,95686,00.html (copy and paste URL as it has the commas in it that won't make a live link) Another quote: "Literary journalism has been one hand clapping for too damn long." That's big gun Frank Wilson. Why would he do this for us? He says to just get the word out about his blog. He wants readers weighing in. Here are links for Frank Wilson of The Philadelphia Inquirer: Books Books, Inq. "Budding poet? Looking for objective feedback? You've come to the right place." The InterBoard Poetry Community too. Thanks to our friends Sarah and Frank. Yours,<br> Rus Our links: Poetry & Poets in Rags IBPC Home IBPC Newswire
