Thanks LJC, I was beginning to wonder whether there was any essay on the topic at all...the first one is an enjoyable read.

Thanks for the links, LJ. I've only read the first one so far, but it was good. And gives me an idea of how to structure a similar article/essay (I've been thinking of posting something on my site for a while along those lines, but just haven't done so yet).
