Dear Poetry Fans, Poetry & Poets in Rags For tonight anyway, go here: The Writers Block: Poetry & Poets in Rags of July 19, 2005 Let's zigzag the world a bit: London, Port-au-Prince, Oman. In each of these places, the unspeakable has recently happened. If we keep zigzagging, we become reminded that all over the world, the unspeakable has happened and is happening still. This issue of P&P in Rags is a lot about poets and poetry encountering the unspeakable, that truly horrendous void that poetry and poets often speak from and to, which some would say is the purpose or root of poetry. It's not all that, we have several intriguing poems for your discovery, and articles too, like the superb item on Horace, and others like the one from Laos. And speaking of unspeakable, there's one about shredding the f word. But there we go zigzagging again, where there's light, dark, and the gray areas, where there's poetry. Yours, Rus Our Links: Poetry & Poets in Rags IBPC Home IBPC Newswire |

Rus, The Congress hears a poem, "A Soldier's Reflections," & the Georgiana Cohen poem served well & were well-received as part of my poetry presentation at a senior residency Thursday(7/21) evening. Thanks Rus for the valuable resource. Thought you might like to know how I (this one person) utilized it. Michael (MV)
