Dear Poetry Fans, Poetry & Poets in Rags I am very pleased to bring to you an article on Donald Hall and Jane Kenyon, a great poetry love story. This is our headliner. It beat out some unexpected poetry discoveries, some long-lost advise from Whitman, and one that will lead most of us to read John Donne a bit differently from now on. And, leading up to our Mothers Day back-page article, is a remarkable story of the longest fast-unto-death on record, politically quite effective, but not effective enough--hopefully yet. Other stuff too, for your discovery. Love and death, human struggle, sickness and war, and just regular living. This is poetry, and we have whole poems, with this week's Poetry & Poets in Rags coming across to me as informative, an issue I am pleased to share with you, one I would not have wanted to miss. Yours, Rus Our Links: Poetry & Poets in Rags IBPC Home IBPC Newswire |
