I have a poem where I use the sh... word, but the rest of the poem has no profanities. Can I post it in Subluxation and spell it out? I would like to be able to in order to keep the integrity of the poem.

Yes, Sandra. Profanities are allowed here at Wild. You'll see them peppering quite a few works here on the boards and in the archives.

The pieces that we most wish to keep under lock and key are those that are extremely sexually explicit. We reserve those for the THERAPEUTIC TOUCH forum, which is password protected in our effort to keep these poems away from tender eyes and ages.

You can find a further discussion of our policies regarding this in our FAQs, What Do You Mean by "Adult Content".

If you have any further questions, let us know. And if you're really undecided about the appropriate place for a poem, just send it to moderators@wildpoetryforum.com. We'll be happy to let you know where to post it.

Best,
M

As a concession to prudes and prigs, it is acceptable to say s*** and f*** and so on . . . but if you spell out the entire word you must do so in 6-point verdana light . . . and you must promise to tiptoe for the rest of the day.

I do not wish my poems to be considered for poem of the weak. I weary from bending poems to satisfy an aesthetic I do not believe in.

You are a riot, Fred! Yes, you are. 'Mind looking at my edited "Sunrise"? While I try to keep from dying, that is.
