Dear Poetry Aficionados,

Poetry & Poets in Rags

We have quite the mix of articles from around the globe this week. We begin by framing restrictions on free speech as sentencing poets "to good behaviour" as poet Arundhati Roy puts it. Our co-headliner is Michael Rosen's take on teaching poetry to children, this following Ofsted's call for more variety. Bryan Appleyard in Great Regulars broaches this issue as well. We also have poets in bookstores, superb reads of individual poems, poets' copyrights, Christmas, narrative in blank verse, and so much more that I need to let you get to your reading.

Thanks for clicking in.

Yours,
Rus
