Dear Poetry Aficionados,

Poetry & Poets in Rags

We travel the world, time, and the mind this week, beginning on Mutanabi Street, where a curfew has been lifted, and books may be bought. Our next two stories continue with other limitations on writers' works, one a call to action to lift Turkish censorship, and the other to do with recognizing a most beautiful Persian poet who was made "invisible" some centuries ago. The last three articles in News at Eleven, address how we think about poetry and language. The first comes from Sweden, the next Philly and, via the Back Page, we follow a verbivorous species through human nature.

Beyond those six, are 50 more articles, average for us these days, and from all over the poetic, time, and geographic spectra. Two arrive from a new addition to our Great Regulars section, Anthony Maulucci. Links to his articles in the Norwich Bulletin, come between Ted Kooser and Robert Pinsky.

Thanks for stopping through.

Yours,
Rus
