Esteemed Membership,
How do you feel about conversations as opposed to critiques under your poems? Sometimes you authors pen things and I want to engage in dialogues with you, and others as well. A poem can open a trap-door that sends me spinning in unpredicted directions. Does it annoy you when people get anecdotal or confessional under one of your poems.

thank you for your indulgence.

I like. Conversations, stories, et al can spark the muse. I'm not sure of the band width thingie, but I'm sure Miss M will let us know.

Smiles.

I find it particularly annoying when -- under my poem -- a conversation get started that has little or nothing to do with my poem; or when the thread degenerates into a skeet-and-trap shoot, with me as clay pigeon.

Dearest All -- space is not really an issue any longer since we switched to a new server with much more capacity than we used to have. So feel free to chatter on if you wish and the author of the thread is willing to entertain you. No hitting below the belt, though. If that happens, we step in to stop it.

So, Freddie -- I guess using your threads to run my personal / classified ads is a big no-no, huh? Damn. Is it OK if I just stand around on your corner and do this?
I promise -- I won't talk to anybody while I'm there.

Love,
M

I think it's nice to know what thoughts or memories a poem brings someone to, critique or not. And I love being asked questions about my poems.

Of course, like Fred, I don't like if the thread then becomes a debate about capital punishment, or becomes something that has nothing to do with the poem at all.

I'm just happy that someone, anyone makes a comment.

I don't mind if it is an anecdotal or confessional as long as it's poem related. As a matter of fact, I like getting to know the members here.

But, the bottom line is that I want help on my poems. Please let me know what you think works and what doesn't. That's the main reason I'm here.
