Dear Poetry Fans, Poetry & Poets in Rags The cuts to get our "News at Eleven" section down to eleven this week were tough to make, which indicates that only superior articles will be linked to, in a creme de la creme effect. When I'm down to such a tough 16 or so, I start reading to select our headliner, and maybe our back page, as if there are only eleven left. This week, our two first stories were obvious, events compelling that the word get out, because of an urgent newsworthiness versus autobiographical or poetic content--and same with our last two articles. This leaves seven spots, which defined my quandary, and caused a few extra hours of rereading for me. Thanks for clicking in. And as a reminder, click into the stories while the links are still hot.
